Babyfrog Designs

Dear Friends,
Since I am currently snowed in from church I decided to be ambitious and update again. So soon, I know it's not normal. Anyway, I recently came across the cutest baby boutique of knitted items. Every item is custom made and unique. Check out Babyfrog Designs for the adorable gifts for any baby or infant.

A Potpourri

Well, Ihaven't updated in awhile so I figure it would be worth it. I have to admit, I have more time then usual right now because I made the mistake of getting up for work 3 hours early. So I was wide awake at 6:00 today and don't have to be there until 10:00. So I will update you in the meantime. Things have been crazy busy with the holidays. Lots of parties, get togethers, work. I also recently raffled off a free mini session. The winning family will be having portraits done in just a few short weeks. For those of you who do not follow on facebook, we are also now offering 20% discounts to faculty/staff, students, and graduates of PBU. So if you know anyone who might be interested, or recently engaged and is in need of a photographer send them my way. I am currently in the process of developing a few different school fundraisers as well with the hopes of benefiting area schools, families, and of course Heather Marie Photography. Enjoy the holidays!

A Wonderful Weekend

Okay, so I thought I'd get a post up on Monday, but it is now Tuesday. I had every intention for this site to be a place where my wonderfuly clients could get to know me a little better, and also keep my friends and family up to date on everyday life. I wanted to take the time to share a little about this past weekend.

Friday evening, Joel, my Dad, and I headed out to the Carlisle area to visit some dear friends of ours, the Rudders. My mom was already there as she travelled from a teacher's conference with Greg. Greg & Lisa and their four kids (Brett, Emilie, Caroline, and Elise) have played a significant role in my life, challenging me to grow spiritually and in many other areas of my life. Im so thankful for the friendship and mentorship God has blessed me and Joel with through them.

Aside from encouragement, we always have lots of fun together, whether it be going out to eat, sitting around talking, or just playing games. Sadly, we don't get to see them often enough, but it is the type of friendship that you could be apart for years and things would still be the same when you got together; like nothin ever changed, like family. Since Lisa and Greg kept up fed and rested, well not so rested; we stayed up late talking and joking, I got the chance to take some portraits of the kids or not so kids anymore. I do have to admit that I might just have to go back to Carlisle to get a good one of all four since one or the other has their eyes closed in nearly every picture, but I won't complain.

Rudders, I hope you enjoy!

Update and Becky's Portrait Session

I cannot believe it has been about a month since I last posted. Sorry to all my few loyal fans that subscribe or check back to my blog. The past month has been a whirlwind from photo shoots to dinners to work. I've done about 5 shoots since last post and have hopes of updating you with snippets of each by next week. I wanted to post a few pictures from a shoot I did yesterday with Beck English. Becky is a friend of mine from church, however we have only just recently gotten to know each other through dinner groups. She works as an editor for CLC Ministries International and when I found out she was having a book published and needed pictures, asked if could take them for her. Becky needed some formal, professional shots for work, but then we had some fun. It was my first time at The Highlands, but I will definitely be going back again. Fortunately the rain held off for a little while and then we used the umbrella. My sister, Joy, also came along to help us out some.  Becky is an avid photographer herself so check out her blog for some of her beautiful shots. Becky, I hope you will be able to use some of these for work...If not I guess we'll try again.

The Long Awaited Update: It's Long

Be warned, this is going to be a long post. with numerous pictures. This week was absolutely perfect for the three photo sessions I had. I love the autumn weather, fall colors, and crisp sunlight in the coming pictures.

The Spence Family
We started out the week with a family/maternity shoot at Lake Nockamixon with the Spence's. Christy and I grew up going to the same school and church. Unfortunately her husband Dan couldn't make it, but I had a lot of fun with her and her three beautiful daughters; Hailey, Hannah, and Liv. They were so cooperative and entertaining. You'll see that baby girl # 4 will be joining us in just a few days or weeks. After seeing Christy, I just hope I look that good when I'm pregnant.

 Joy & Greg
On Wednesday, Joy and Greg set out to try a new location with me, Pennypack Ecological Trust. They have some trails and a huge field, perfect for fall pictures. Joy and Greg are always a lot of fun when we go out and are willing to do anything.

Early Thursday, morning Andi and I set out for a fun, autumn session. You may recognize her from the engagement album. She's getting married in May and I will happily leave my camera at home to be part of the bridal party. This was only my second time shooting in the morning recently, and I have to admit I'm really loving the light in some of these shots. Happy viewing!

My Favorite!

Behind Schedule

Sorry folks. I've been so behind on blogging recently, but partly that is because I've been so busy taking photos. I have done three shoots in the past three days and will be gearing up for an engagement session this weekend. I will hopefully get a chance to post a few pictures on here later today. Be sure to check back soon.

Baby Girls

The same weekend I was shooting the Zink wedding, I also had the opportunity to spend some much needed time with our NJ family. This past May we welcomed to little twin girls into the Craven family; Grace and Faith. It brings me so much joy to be an aunt, however I don't get to see my three nieces nearly as much as I would like to. Before Ben and Liz's rehearsal dinner I was able to spend some quality time with Emma, Grace, and Faith. Can' you believe they are only about 5 months old?

New Fan Site

Check out my new fan page on facebook. Hopefully I'll have a website up and running in the near future. My wonderful brother- n- law has volunteered to help me. I'm pretty computer illiterate. Still plugging away at the images from last weekend's wedding.

My Very First Wedding- Ben and Elizabeth Zink Part I

It is hard to believe that the big wedding weekend that I've been awaiting for so long has finally come and gone. Ben and Liz are two good friends that allowed me the honor of photographing their wedding. Needless to say, they were very brave because it was my first wedding. While the day was long, there was no doubt that it was a time blessed by the one and true living God. Ben and Liz's love for Christ and love for each other was very evident thorugh out the day. There are so many shots I love, so beware, its a long one. Happy viewing!
