A Wonderful Weekend

Okay, so I thought I'd get a post up on Monday, but it is now Tuesday. I had every intention for this site to be a place where my wonderfuly clients could get to know me a little better, and also keep my friends and family up to date on everyday life. I wanted to take the time to share a little about this past weekend.

Friday evening, Joel, my Dad, and I headed out to the Carlisle area to visit some dear friends of ours, the Rudders. My mom was already there as she travelled from a teacher's conference with Greg. Greg & Lisa and their four kids (Brett, Emilie, Caroline, and Elise) have played a significant role in my life, challenging me to grow spiritually and in many other areas of my life. Im so thankful for the friendship and mentorship God has blessed me and Joel with through them.

Aside from encouragement, we always have lots of fun together, whether it be going out to eat, sitting around talking, or just playing games. Sadly, we don't get to see them often enough, but it is the type of friendship that you could be apart for years and things would still be the same when you got together; like nothin ever changed, like family. Since Lisa and Greg kept up fed and rested, well not so rested; we stayed up late talking and joking, I got the chance to take some portraits of the kids or not so kids anymore. I do have to admit that I might just have to go back to Carlisle to get a good one of all four since one or the other has their eyes closed in nearly every picture, but I won't complain.

Rudders, I hope you enjoy!

Update and Becky's Portrait Session

I cannot believe it has been about a month since I last posted. Sorry to all my few loyal fans that subscribe or check back to my blog. The past month has been a whirlwind from photo shoots to dinners to work. I've done about 5 shoots since last post and have hopes of updating you with snippets of each by next week. I wanted to post a few pictures from a shoot I did yesterday with Beck English. Becky is a friend of mine from church, however we have only just recently gotten to know each other through dinner groups. She works as an editor for CLC Ministries International and when I found out she was having a book published and needed pictures, asked if could take them for her. Becky needed some formal, professional shots for work, but then we had some fun. It was my first time at The Highlands, but I will definitely be going back again. Fortunately the rain held off for a little while and then we used the umbrella. My sister, Joy, also came along to help us out some.  Becky is an avid photographer herself so check out her blog for some of her beautiful shots. Becky, I hope you will be able to use some of these for work...If not I guess we'll try again.
